The Finnish company now has more than 6100 employees in its home country and more than 100.000 employees in different countries around the world. It’s the second time Nokia lays off people, after the dismissal of approximately 960 employees back in 2016. According to official information the company plans to lay off 1400 more employees from their offices in Germany, by the end of this year.
All these lay offs are part of a €1.2billion plan to reduce disbursement that was implemented after the Alcatel merger.
